During the last few weeks, the use of Instagram Stories by people has increased, mainly by individuals. I can't say whether businesses are using stories as much because I don't follow plenty of businesses which have marketing teams knowledgeable in how to leverage Instagram Stories. Interesting isn't it.
See, most of the "businesses" I follow are either pro-law enforcement news and information accounts, law enforcement apparel accounts, and personal trainers and gym accounts. All of these "niche's" are filled with one common thing - they're run by Type-A personality people, who are usually either financially frugal or strapped and essentially, "dumb."
Why do I call them dumb? Because the decisions they make in terms of where they spend their money and how they spend it, in terms of marketing themselves and their business, is plain out stupid. They would rather go dump $1000 on making a run of t-shirts to give away to people, in hopes of having them wear them around, to advertise for them.
On the other hand, they could spend $1000 with me as a marketer, and I can reach for more potential clients than they ever will with the shirts. I've known an overwhelming amount of people, to include myself, who have purchased items from a post on social media. I don't think I have ever called the number printed on the back of a t-shirt.
I've also had clients, who were smart at first by hiring my company, but then became "dumb" after the fact. Once they hired us, they felt they knew more than us, and also were under the huge misconception they could talk to us as if we were low-paid employees. To them, we pretty much said, albeit arrogantly, that we were the ones they hired because we know more about the subject than they do, and we also promptly returned their money.
No One Works Harder For A Company
My business partner and I simply can't stand idly by and watch a client go down the wrong path when it comes to social media, branding, and marketing. Everything the client does publicly, affects our work performance and product, and vice-a-versa. Because of this, we put our clients at the forefront of our constant thought process. Their success is our success.
This is also why we don't take on more clients than we can handle. We value our reputation and the money we've earned through a quality job, rather than trying to get as much as we can, with poor work. We're in it for the long haul, not the quick buck.
Are Your Ready To Stop Being Dumb?
Reach out to me to ask questions or just tap into my brain to see what I think about your business ideas or where you're headed. I'd be happy to talk.
